How the simulator works
The table deals from a real shuffled shoe and reshuffles when about three quarters of it has been dealt. The other players follow basic strategy. Every decision you make is compared with the basic strategy chart for the rules you picked; when they differ, the panel shows the right play and the average cost of the one you chose.
Change the game, decks and rules under Table settings. In the European game the dealer takes the second card only after everyone has played, and a dealer blackjack takes doubles and splits too.
The chart the simulator checks against is the same one you can open, print or download on the strategy chart page.
Is blackjack the same as 21?
Yes. Blackjack is the casino version of the card game 21, also called twenty-one: you try to finish closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. This simulator is that 21 card game played online with play chips, under the rules you pick in Table settings. The full rules are on the blackjack rules page.
